Lardner Park Chain Mesh Security Fencing
Hyline supplied and installed approximately 670m of galvanised chain mesh security fencing at Lardner Park in September 2026. The project included pedestrian and vehicle access gates, plus a fixed panel over a creek to complete the fence line.
The 2100mm high heavy gauge mesh is supported by cranked posts, with three Waratah barbed wires taking the overall height to 2550mm. Three 4mm helicoil cables and compression rails with diagonal wires at straining points form part of the system. The access gates use 32NB frames and swing hinges on 100NB gate posts, with the vehicle pair providing an approximately 8m opening.
Protecting the lawn required careful planning and plenty of hard work. Working alongside Lardner Park staff, the team used the farm’s loader to deliver concrete to the post holes, avoiding the lawn damage a concrete truck would have caused. The concrete was then shovelled out by hand, while the cranked posts had to be set accurately to their final height.
Despite the demanding installation, the crew started on Monday and had the site secured by Saturday morning.
